Viva Trike Revolution…Success!

We had about 35 racers this time. What a great turn out.
Fun costumes and tricked-out-trikes, I especially loved the bedazzled trike, nice job to all.

Some of the flaggers dropped out as the race started - bad flaggers, causing some of our route to be a mess. But we all made it down safely with cries only of joy and leaving eggs behind as our trail. Thomas of ArgentFab won this year, though Jeff the reigning champ came in first, a motor on his trike disqualified him. Though he brought his own “I cheated” trophy, I’m guessing he knew who would win that.

Though we didn’t make the papers this year,  I did pose for Kelly-O and am hoping to make drunk of the week!  My contacts at the papers are saying I need to commit a felony to get in print these days, crossing fingers for next time, one can always dream.

Next race is in November, new route; looking for a semi grade from bar to bar with little traffic or turns. I’m thinking Magnolia.

Congrats to the Spring 2009 Triple D Champion and his Wheelchair Chariot!

* I especially need video of the starting line (I forgot to turn on my camera) and pics. I can nab the flv file off flickr, so posting there is just fine.

You get 2 uploads a month of video for the free accounts on Flickr. Thanks!

  1. Nice. Congrats to all. Great turn out.

Although I do prefer the racing in Novemeber. Cold, windy, wettish conditions make for great raceday atmosphere.

  2. In defence of the flaggers, my 4 year old made a fine damn flagger. and she wasnt even drunk.
