We need racers! This Sunday

We are in need of racers due to the overwhelming lookie loos vs racer ratio.

If you aren’t in it to win the trophy (tricycle no more than 36″ x 36″ to win) then show up on a skateboard, a scooter, a hippity hop, an inchworm, rollerskates, a peddlecar. Whatever you have laying around the house or your friends attic. Go for it!

See you racers there on Sunday.

There are still plenty of cheap trikes on CL, and I know goodwill and value village always have something race worthy for under 8 bucks.

Warm welcome from Ozzies

Just confirmed the finish line. Ozzies in lower queen anne. Now that’s how a bar should respond! Welcoming peeps and they are excited to have us. Sorry, we outgrew the streamline. The race is getting too big for small dives - the trike revolution continues to grow!

Thanks to Ozzies for the support!

Elise,
Are you kidding…we would LOVE to have you. Just be CAREFUL, wear all necessary padding and we’ll be waiting for you at the end of the race.
Good Luck,
~Kathy - Ozzies event manager

Targy’s to host again

Targy’s will open for us at 1pm, but the tender says not a minute before.

I’m sure they can work out their scheduling conflicts, they had plenty of time, but apparently the information I wrote down and confirmed (2 months ago before printing flyers) with two of the bartenders never made it on to their calendar/to the owner - and more likely made it into the garbage can. Date time web site and phone number are not enough warning - 2 months prior. BUT whatevs…We are still a go for Sunday!

Look for the Rhinestone Rosie sign on 6th and Crockett. See ya at 1pm for pre-race beers!

Race begins at 2:30

Tip your bartenders!

Countdown to race time - May 17th, 2009

In just a few weeks, we will be racing down the hill after sluggin back beers and crowning the next Viva Tricycle champion. If you don’t have a trike yet, get on it, they go fast off craigslist for all those last minute racers.

Oh wild tricycle…

…just finished up my wild west themed tricycle last night, complete with circuit bent bullhorn that whinnies and gallops at the push of a button.

Costumes and theme trikes encouraged, but the rusty classics are welcome too.

Don’t wait until the last minute, get on that trike hunt now and trick it out.

Think outside the tricycle!

If you don’t want to compete for the trophy, there are plenty of tricycle alternatives to consider. How bout a tractor…or better yet; an inchworm. I really hope someone shows up on the inchworm.
